WORKFLOW FOR A NEW BLOOD DRAW
The eScreen123® software system now allows most eScreen managed titers and wellness blood draws to be completed electronically. Depending on the complexity of the event, you may be able to complete the necessary requisition form in eScreen123.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH PROCESS TO USE?
COMPLETE IN ESCREEN123
Along with the ePassport® test scheduling document, the
patient will present a page confirming that the blood draw
can be completed in eScreen123. A Requisition will generate
in eScreen123, and your clinic will only need to ship the
specimen with the requisition
COMPLETE BY HAND
Along with the ePassport, the patient will present the
“Provider Lab Result Review/Recommendations” Page. You
will need to complete this page and send it to eScreen after
interpreting the lab result. Your clinic will use its own lab
requisition in this scenario.
WHAT IF THE PATIENT DOES NOT PRESENT WITH EITHER DOCUMENT?
Check the patient into eScreen123, if the service can be
performed electronically, there will be a confirmation screen.
You can also view/reprint the paperwork, which will indicate
whether the service can be completed in eScreen123 or if
your clinic must use its own lab requisition form and fax
results to eScreen.
WHY AREN’T ALL BLOOD COLLECTIONS COLLECTED IN ESCREEN123?
eScreen has created its own requisition form specifically for its clients. This form will work for most blood collection services,
but there are some blood collections that are not applicable to this new process. For those cases, your clinic will use its house
lab requisition form and send the specimen to your clinic’s house laboratory for testing.

HOW DO I REORDER BLOOD COLLECTION SUPPLIES?
In eScreen 123, go to the Tools menu at the top of the screen.
On the Orders tab, click on the “Reorder Blood Collection
Supplies” link. Use the information on the page to place your
order.
If the page does not contain either the reorder phone number
or your clinic’s supply ID, please contact your account
manager for assistance.
Delivery of supplies can take up to 5 business days. Please
plan accordingly.
HOW DO I GET REIMBURSED?
Electronically completed blood draws will be reimbursed at
your clinic’s contracted rate.
For blood draws completed on your clinic’s house requisition
form, the blood service will be reimbursed at your clinic’s
contracted rate.
If your clinic is not contracted for the blood draw/blood
service, bill eScreen directly with our adjustment correction
form. Include the eScreen account information and SSN/ID
or confirmation number (as listed on the ePassport) for the
patient. Fax all invoices to eScreen at 913-327-1185.
Please Note: If you are unable to complete the blood collection and need to send the patient to a different facility, return to the Donor Waiting List and remove the patient. This will reset the patient’s test scheduling document and allow them to be checked in at a different location.
